In individual therapy, a client meets one-on-one with a psychologist. Such a working relationship may last for only a few sessions or may continue for much longer, depending on your needs. Individual therapy can encompass numerous problems and issues that are going on in your life. These can include stress and anxiety, difficult family situations (both past and present), relationship issues, depression, and self-image. My job is to provide a supportive environment in which you are able to work toward your unique goals.
I am available to work one-on-one, in small groups (such as the classroom or a girl scout troop) and in large groups such as PTA's and seminars to teach children, adolescents and their parents about cyberbullying. Cyberbullying is willful and repeated harm inflicted through the use of computers, cell phones, and other electronic devices. Are you keeping up with the technology that your children are using in the 21st century? Children have always been cruel to other children, but the world wide web gives them an entirely new arena in which to be cruel. Bullying is no longer limited to school days--now bullying can occur 24/7 and to make matters worse bullies are often anonymous which can lead to the inability to trust which relationships are positive and which are negative.
